Ways Parents Can Be Involved
We all know that time is extremely valuable and most of us don’t have a lot of it to give. Here are some ideas of ways, that aren’t all time consuming, that may help you feel more involved with your child’s education at CHMS.
- Room Parents
- Committee chairs or helpers
- Spring/Fall clean-up organizers
- Attending Events, i.e. Halloween Carnival, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.
- Provide ideas to the PTO
- Check out web-site often
- Chaperone Field Trips
- Simple things like donating scrap paper, crayons, finger paint or books to your child’s class can make a teacher’s day!
- Use the CHMS Kroger card if you shop at Kroger.
- Check your child’s folder often for communication from teachers
- Come to PTO meetings when time permits
- When picking up children leave the cell phone in the car and take the time to speak to the staff and other parents.
- Pay PTO dues
